彦辰设计受邀为此书担纲装帧设计，将精致简约的字体设计作为全书的设计语言，中文以最具中国文化特征的宋体字，英文部分采用Trajan Pro，将美国学者著述国学这一文化事件的特征和谐交融。封面镂空细节以象征博大国学的北斗七星作为图形元素，剩余大量留白，展现出丰富的视觉秩序和感观。
